I recieved the water bottle and thought i got a great deal, however, the blue bottle is punctured and leaks from the bottom. i do not feel that i should pay any shipping back but i would like the one to be replaced. please let me know asap. Yes, I bought a set at Costco and am buying another set on Amazon today. My husband and I use these daily and have not experienced the leakage issue others have. It is possible that if they removed the rubber seal to wash they reinserted it upside down. There is a grove that should match up with the bottom portion. Which brings me to the point that you do have to separate the parts and wash thoroughly or mildew will grow on the removable rubber seal in the top, as it would with any item like this. I use an old toothbrush to scrub the seal regularly (and of course wash out the rest of it) every couple of days. I HIGHLY recommend these after being disappointed by others! I have read the other reviews and can understand their frustration but I do not have a problem with the bottles. I also bought them at Costco after using one while visiting my son. They are great. I can sympathize with the people who have had the top come loose and spill water everywhere. It happened to me once but I realized I hadn't completely sealed the flip top. I have had these for over 18 months and will be buying more. As for the funky taste,I have left mine with water or flavored water in them and have not had a problem. You might try washing them in the dishwasher, that is how I have cleaned mine since I bought them. |
