This water bottle is pretty nice, especially been metal instead of plastic. I haven't really noticed the metal contributing any strange flavors or anything. The only problem is that is upside down or on its side for awhile it can leak slightly, not much but a little bit. I am happy with the purchase though.

Ive been using this bottle for a month now and im very happy with it. I purchased it along with a Klean Kanteen bottle that was about twice the price I paid for this one. So far I've had no problems with the water tasting "metallic". And as I got the brushed metal finish, I cannot speak to the paints durability.

The cap is actually interchangeable with Klean Kanteen bottles. Ive found the cap on this bottle more useful than the "sport cap" on the KK bottle that tends to leak.

The only negative thing I can say about the bottle is that the material seems to not be as thick as other bottles. Ive dropped it full of water and It didn't dent or anything it just makes it feel a little less durable.

I love this water bottle. Of all the things that I have acquired recently, this is one of my favorites. There is really not much to say about it because it is exactly what you expect. It is a sturdy, light, stainless steel waterbottle (BPA free). The cap is screw on style, made of plastic, with a clear rubber o-ring seal that stays in place. There is a small hole in the cap if you wish to run a lanyard or keyring through it I suppose. The white powdercoat finish is pretty durable so far. I haven't been climbing mountains with it or anything, but it sits on my desk at work and looks as new as when first got it. Great product!
