PMCI bottles are made of type 304 stainless steel that is approved for food and beverage use. Our stainless steel bottles are recyclable and washable and have no interior lining to influence taste. Our bottles come with TWO CAPS at NO EXTRA CHARGE; a drinking sport cap for those that like to drink while exercising and a standard loop cap. Both types of caps are made from polypropylene; no BPA or PVC plastics. We have an attractive satin exterior finish with no large graphics that would be subject to fading from washing, and no exterior paint that might chip from handling. The bottles fit most cup/bottle holders and bike bottle holders. Our bottles are completely washable by hand using mild soap; vinegar or baking soda; rinse thoroughly and allow to dry. The bottles are a safe alternative to plastic. We offer two sizes: 20 ounce capacity for normal activity and 34 ounce capacity bottle for those who want to carry a larger volume.

Unfortunately the fitting around the opening is some sort of brass that gives off a horrible taste. Yes, I've washed it and used for a while but the taste is still there. A bottle that is marketed as ALL stainless should be just that. I prefer the screw cap because you have to suck hard to get water out of the small opening in the loop cap. I love the design of the bottle but I'm having a problem with some sort of bitter green goo on the lip of the bottle. It appears to be coming from the seam that is just above the threads about 3/16 of an inch below the rim.When I got the bottle I washed it by hand using dish soap and hand dried it. I put water in the bottle, tested the water tightness of the lid, removed the lid and took a sip. There was a awful, bitter, salty taste and I noticed the green goo on parts of the rim. I thought perhaps it was an adhesive or something (it resembles the remnants of a sticker), so I soaked the bottle (but not the lid) in warm soapy water and thoroughly scrubbed the rim. I licked around the rim and there was no offending taste. I let the bottle air dry overnight. The next day I put cold water from my fridge in the bottle and capped it. About 15 minutes later I removed the cap and drank some and the foul taste was back. I can clearly see the light green goo on the rim...
